About the group
Due to the Coronavirus restrictions currently in place, we are not meeting. When it is safe to do so, we are hoping to start on our summer programme of viewing gardens, both private and public.
I regret to have to say at this point that we are unable to accept any new members due to our current number of 38 members.
We are a friendly, informal group which was formed towards the end of 2016. We currently have 38 members and usually attract around 20 to 25 to our meetings. We meet in The Centre, Verney Close, 2 – 4 pm on the third Wednesday of the month. During the winter months we either have a speaker or have ‘in house’ entertainment with a quiz or opportunity to share a favourite flower, garden event etc. There is no pressure to be knowledgeable about gardening, and hopefully we will be able to pick up some tips and useful information to help with our own gardens, no matter how large or small. Starting in April we go out and about to local gardens. This coming summer we have trips planned to Kingsbridge Garden and Steane Park and several other delights in the pipeline. Please contact me if you are interested in joining this fun group.
Contact the Group coordinator for further information – details shown above.
