About the group
Our summer 2022 programme is well under way. In April we enjoyed a very informative talk by Peter from Preston Bissett Nurseries followed by refreshments in their enormous Tipi.
In May we wandered around a private garden of many different areas. We checked out massive mature trees, tiny alpine plants and everything in between. Our refreshments were served in the shady courtyard around a fountain. The garden, Turn End, at Haddenham is well worth a visit when they have an open day.
In June we enjoyed our third consecutive visit this year to be blessed with excellent summer weather. This was to Serena Aldous’s beautiful garden at Kingsbridge, between Padbury and Steeple Claydon, pretty much on our doorstep. This was our group’s third visit to Serena’s garden so that tells you how enjoyable it is. She served welcome refreshments in her beautiful barn
In July we are heading to a private garden close to NT Claydon House and will stop by the cafe there for a cuppa before returning home.
No meeting in August
In September we are straying a little further afield to Quinton (not Quainton) in Northants to The Old Rectory Garden, a place of beauty and Mindfullness – and how much that is needed in these times.
In October we return to our indoor meetings in the Community Centre and are planning an exciting programme for the winter months.
