About the group

Following on from our much acclaimed performance at the U3A Annual Summer Social, in December we, once again, visited the local care homes to bring a bit of Xmas cheer to our neighbours and friends. The Day Center at Wells Street was a particularly well received event. The young people were very enthusiastic with their singing and accompaniment. So much so that we have been invited back to perform a Summer concert.”

The group has been in existence for some time now but we always need new blood. Even if you just want to dip in every so often that is fine. We would especially like some male voices!
We have quite a broad repertoire.
From 1940s show tunes to 1960/70s pop.
From Frank Sinatra to a bit of Irish Folk.
We always have “Request” time at the end of the session.

We are continually adding to our repitoire of songs. We do have a number of songs that constitute our core set list but we try to vary each session and add to our list each month.

Attendance is generally between 16 and 20 persons and new members are welcome.

We meet at the Parish Church (St Peter and St Paul) on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays of the month at 2.30pm.

Contact the Group coordinator for further information – details shown above.
