About this activity
This is a friendly self-teaching group, although we have a group ‘leader’, Julian’s wife Sheila, formerly a French language teacher, with two other people who can stand in in her absence. We formed in February 2014. Speaking Italian in class is one of the main objectives. Our vocabulary is probably in the order of 2,500 words or more. We have been using various resources including Hugo’s Italian + CDs, fun activities and Italian readers.
We meet mostly in the Town Council Chamber at the side of the Community Centre, or in houses, for 2 hours on Friday afternoons. The group is now at optimum capacity, so newcomers will only be considered if any existing members leave. The group coordinator is happy to be contacted for advice on starting up any new beginners’ group, or any other enquiries.
