If the answer to these two questions is “Oui” or even “un peu”, you may be interested to hear what the French Lunch group get up to each month.
Well, talking French and eating French food (not forgetting the French wine) is what. French talking lasts (mostly) until pudding time and the food is never less than totally delicious, a dish (or bottle) being provided by each participant. Since we meet in each other’s homes, numbers are sometimes restricted by table-space but some months’ venues (Bowls Club, restaurant) can offer unlimited numbers.
We are a very friendly group. In fact we enjoy ourselves so much the group decided to invite all French groups to join us at Chackmore Village Hall earlier in the year. Between 30 and 40 enthusiasts tucked into a magnificent buffet to celebrate our Francophile connections.
