About the group
The family history group meets in the community room at the library which has space for about 20 people. We have spaces for new members at present so contact Tina if you wish to join the group .We use the interactive screen and the internet connection for presentations into our families and researching various topics.
Our members are a mix of very experienced and fairly new researchers so we are able to share a knowledge and curiosity about family history. We are all interested in finding out more about our ancestors than just names so we look at their location, houses and occupation. We would probably make good amateur Detectives as we are as interested in the heritage of our members as we are on our own. Last year we focused on family members who were in the Armed Forces and we had some fascinating presentations from our members.
For further information please contact the Group Coordinator – details above.
