Shadows Wanted
No musical ability required! Over the next few months some of our Committee members will be looking for volunteers to shadow, or assist them in their roles. This will include the Newsletter Editor and Treasurer. If you have any knowledge or experience in those areas please get in touch for further information.
2025 – a New Year – time to Learn, Laugh, and Live!
Hello all and welcome to 2025, the start of a New Year, with new opportunities for you to explore. If you are planning to retire or semi retire do come and join us for new activities, a chance to make new friends, and enjoy yourself! If joining on your own or with a partner you should find something new and interesting to do. If you have any ideas for new groups or want to start one yourself, please get in touch following the details on the New Groups page.
Our first Open Meeting of the year will be on Wednesday 22nd January at the Community Centre, doors open at 2.15 with a speaker at 2.30 followed by refreshments. We look forward to welcoming you there.
Events – AGM and Social
Any of our members wishing to notify attendance for the AGM or for the Christmas Social should go to the Events page drop down below Open Meetings and follow the instructions under the appropriate Event to go to the login page. Alternatively they can email the Event organiser who sent their invitation.
Community Radio for our U3A – Every Tuesday at 12.00
We now have a slot scheduled on the local Community Radio which is available every Tuesday from 12.00. You can tune in here.
Audio Visual Support Wanted
Calling Audio Visual enthusiasts – our tech support Steve would like to find a few people to act as backup for Open Meetings. On some occasions he is not able to set up the audio and projector facilities, and would like to have a backup for those times. If you are interested, please contact Steve for further information.

Thames Valley Network Study Events
TVN have a new set of study events coming up, which can be seen at the foot of their page. Mostly free or a small charge per device, with some interesting topics.
Third Age Trust – Online Learning
The Third Age Trust runs a regular series of Online Learning Events. These are held on Zoom and are normally free; U3A members will need to book a place via a link to Eventbrite. Information is on the page here.
New Groups Information
Hello all, just to tell you that we have several new groups either starting up re-starting, or want new members, that might be of interest.
Take a look at the New Groups page: we have Environmental, Tai Chi, and Jazz Appreciation, as well as Calligraphy, along with 3Bs Radio. A recent addition is the revived Latin group which is aimed at complete beginners.
