About the group

The Canasta group got off to a good start in March 2012 and now regularly has about 5 tables in play during a session. We play on the 2nd Wednesday morning of the month, on the 3rd Wednesday afternoon of the month and on the 4th Wednesday morning of the month. We welcome players of all standards, from complete beginners to those who have played for several years. Canasta is a game which is very easy to pick up and we have now got several good players who had never played before. Canasta can be played by 2, 3 or 4 players, although most people prefer to play with a partner in a four. We always start the meeting with cutting cards to see who is playing where, so it gives everyone a chance to play with different people. New members are always very welcome.
