LIDAR – the new illuminating the past

I’m just letting you know that there is a general interest talk being given next Wednesday 26th April at 7 p.m. in Luton, titled ‘LIDAR – the new illuminating the past’.

The speaker is excellent (a former colleague of mine) and he will be demonstrating case studies of a village in Buckinghamshire (possibly Emberton, but I’m not certain) and also the Luton area showing how LIDAR can highlight archaeology and geology. I’ll attach a flyer which I’m more than happy for you to circulate to your members in case it is of interest to them.

The location is Eaton Electric Ltd, Great Marlings, Butterfield, Luton LU2 8DL.
It is easy to find by taking the turning off the Hitchin Road by The Hilton Garden Inn.

I know it’s a bit far to go from Buckingham, but I thought you might like to know anyway.

The talk is open to anyone and is free. There is an excellent buffet afterwards for which we ask a donation of £2.

If anyone is interested, it would be useful to know in advance for catering purposes. They can contact me at this email address, or go to the website and register there.
