Hello all, why not broaden your musical tastes ( or ours) by coming along to a meeting of the Music for Pleasure group. http://buckinghamu3a.org.uk/musicforpleasure/ The meetings are held at Peter Franklin’s house in Nash, but if anyone needs transport, I have 3 places available from Buckingham or nearby.
The subject of the January meeting was Fantastic Falklands a talk by Richard Revels FRPS. after an introduction by Clive, Richard began by giving a short illustrated walk around Port Stanley, the capital, then to the wildlife of the islands, mostly birds, some really fine close ups of nesting birds and wide angle views of colonies. The finest pictures were of birds in flight showing wings and plumage. Richard then answered a number of questions on wildlife photography and the Falklands,
A wonderful presentation!
The next main meeting will be on February 22nd when Mike Grillo will be giving a talk entitled Two Kinds of Teardrops (stories of Del Shannon and Roy Orbison)
